Dove was born in Shaoxing, China in 1965, and his original name was Zhang Feng.
He graduated from Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts, China Academy of Art, Universität der Künste Berlin , and obtained a master's degree in painting.
In the early 1990s in Beijing,Dove participated in the "Yuanmingyuan Artist Village", which had a profound influence on Chinese contemporary art. He is part of the first well-known professional art groups in China.
朵夫，男，1965年出生於中國紹興市，原名張峰。
先後畢業於清華美院本科，中國美術學院、柏林藝術大學碩士研究生，獲得繪畫碩士學位。
朵夫於九十年代初在中國北京，創建並參與了中國當代藝術史上具有國際影響力的“圓明園藝術家村”。是中國第一個著名的職業性藝術團體成員之一。
